Trials

We've had our fair share of bumholes raid with us in the past. While it was great fun picking them out of the bunch, you might understand that we'd rather stop them at the door if at all possible. For this reason we run a strict Trial period, and hope you will bear with us while we do our best to assess the real you, as a person and a raider. (:

Trials will be dealt with in Meus Pardus as follows:

1: Background checks will be made on each member who applies. We hope no one attempts to "cover the tracks" and lie about their server/guild history, it's not hard to sniff that stuff out!

2: If the background checks are complete and the reason for leaving the old guild was not along the lines of "Ninja'd the Main Hand Warglaive and the raid leaders Girlfriend", then the Applicant (that's you!) will be invited to the guild as a trial and granted the option of signing up for official and unofficial raids. From this point on the officers will judge your performance during any official or unofficial raid you might join. Performance will be judged 50/50 on two bases;

A) Cold hard numbers.
We will assess your DPS based on your gear and the performance of others in the raid. Numbers are a bit more complicated material for healers and tanks, but if the other healers triple your amount of healing done or you're last on the damage taken list, you are doing something wrong.
B) Focus.
Are you moving out of the lazors? If you do something wrong on a boss encounter, do you make exactly the same mistake the second time around? How willing to learn are you? All these things make up for focus.

Keep in mind that these two bases can supplement eachother just as well as they can drag eachother down. We aren't going to shout at you if you have low DPS but you show that you are really willing to learn and get better. That said, you're not going to rise above the trial rank anytime soon if you continue to produce horrible numbers. Also, don't think you can act like a royal douchebag just because you're pulling off more DPS than anyone else.

3: If we find you have proved yourself worthy over the course of your trial in our official raids, we will promote you to Full Raider and the application will be moved into a different forum for later reference, if needed. At this point we can also invite any alts of yours to the guild, but not before. Proceed to enjoy your time with us!
